Kiina tarvitsee valtavia määriä rautaa nyt ja tulevaisuudessa. Monet uutiset ovat kertoneet kiinalaisten tehneet suuria investointeja ja ostoksia rautaesiintymiin. Australiassa kiinalaiset ovat ostaneet useita suuria rautaprojekteja. Kiinalaisten näkemyksen mukaan resursseista tulee vielä tulemaan pulaa ja siksi he ovat nyt varmistelemassa tulevia rautalähteitään.

Chinese steelmakers must develop more overseas iron ore projects
Guangzhou. March 27, 2007. INTERFAX-CHINA - Domestic steelmakers need to accelerate iron ore off-take projects in China, Vietnam, Laos and Russia, and also increase imports from Brazil and Australia, a high-ranking official from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), said today.


March 27, 2007. AN ASTUTE mining intelligentsia once warned that soon it wouldn't matter what grading any new iron ore discovery in Australia was, the Chinese and the Indians would bring their own front end loaders to scoop up the lot. Successive annual rises in iron ore price contracts, with the prospect of more to come, to cover the voracious steel-making appetite of developing economies like China and India have made billions for iron ore miners. Highlights of the Pre-Feasibility Study:
- Proven and Probable Mineral Reserves of 3.5 billion tonnes
- Total capital cost, including working capital, of US $2.75 billion remains unchanged
- Internal rate of return ("IRR") of 15.8% (previously disclosed as 16.8%) (before corporate taxes, mining taxes and 2% gross revenue royalty)
- Return on equity ("ROE") of 23.3% (previously disclosed as 27.2%) (before corporate taxes, mining taxes and 2% gross revenue royalty) (3)
- Net present value ("NPV") of US$4.0 billion (previously disclosed as US$4.2 billion) (before corporate taxes, mining taxes and 2% gross revenue royalty) (4)

KeMag Project (Quebec), 100% osuus
- 1.349 billion tonnes of Indicated Mineral resources and an additional 992 million tonnes of Inferred Mineral Resources based a cut-off grade using a Davis Tube Weight Recovery ("DTWR") of 18%.

Robert Martin, President and CEO of New Millennium, said, "NML is on track to produce a Pre-Feasibility Report on the KeMag Iron Ore Property by the end of June 2007 when a decision will be made to advance one of these World Class projects to the feasibility stage. Planning for a summer 2007 drilling program on the KeMag Property is well underway."




Yhtiöllä on edessään todennäköisesti ainakin 5 vuoden rupeama kehittää esiintymää eteenpäin ennenkuin voidaan olla tuotannossa. Mikäli projekti etenee odotetusti ja raudan maailmanmarkkinat eivät romahda alta niin tämä voi olla spekulatiivisena sijoituksena varsin hyvä. Yhtiön markkina-arvo, joka on alle 40M USD tällä hetkellä, on vain sadasosa LabMag projektin lasketusta NPV arvosta (omistusosuus 80%, eli karkeasti firman markkina-arvo on noin 1/80 osa LabMag projektin NPV:stä). Kyseessä on tietysti alustavat luvut, jotka voivat muuttua mutta ne antavat suuntaa suuruusluokasta mistä puhutaan.
